Snacking with Wonderful Almonds and Pistachios
We are a family of snackers and a day does not go by without some type of a snack. Now I will share with you that traditionally my snacks are of the sweet nature but even I occasionally prefer something salty and crunchy. Cookies and candy bars can only satisfy your snacking desires for so long then you want something that won’t melt or get chocolate all over your hands and clothes. Fruit is also awesome but have you ever discovered a banana from under the driver seat of your car. First you smell something funny then next you begin the search and finally as you reach under that front seat your hands come out with smashed overripe banana all over your hand. Ugh! Apples and oranges are almost as bad and don’t get me started on potato chips.
There has got to be something a little healthy for snacking! Let alone talk about ease in carrying and storing in my car. Okay, so here I go again……I began my search to discover that natural, good for you snack. I started on the world wide web to get some suggestions and quickly discovered nuts…..Oh, yes but not just any nuts but the world of Wonderful Almonds and Wonderful Pistachios.
I have tried almonds before but I felt that there was something lacking in the taste side but after having a handful of Wonderful Almonds I discovered that I just couldn’t put them down. I didn’t even want to share them with anyone else in the family. I actually hide the bag so that I didn’t HAVE to share them. Now as for Wonderful Pistachios it was Krista’s turn… as soon as the bag arrived she took that bag and ran. Yep, she ran so she wouldn’t have to share them with any of us.
Let’s get back to the Wonderful Almonds, such a variety of flavors including Roasted No Salt, Roasted & Salted and Natural Raw. A craving for everyone of us. My favorite is (of course) is Roasted & Salted, satisfying the healthy, good tasting and salty all in one nut……Almonds! A serving of 24 almonds has 160 calories packed with protein and fiber giving you that full feeling.
Now, let’s check out Krista’s favorite, Wonderful Pistachios….. the varieties range from No Salt, Lightly Salted, Sweet Chili, Roasted & Salted Shelled, Roasted & Salted, and Salt and Pepper. A serving of about 1/2 cup for 160 calories. The one thing that I enjoy most about pistachios is cracking the shell to get to the pistachio nut….Hmm,Hmm good!
