My Review By Emptynester Reviews
I am happy to bring you a review today for Mario Olives, I was sent 3 flavors of their new Snack pack s to try and give my views for you my awesome readers! When I first got the packages I was amazed that they were not packaged in juice, as all olives I have ever seen are packed in juice! Their slogon for the snack packs is, “Packed Loose Without the Juice!” I thought that saying was so clever!
My hubby started in on the Kalamata with thyme Snack pack first and was very happy they were large, plump, and were juicy even without being packaged in juice! The flavor was awesome these were not near as salty as most olives, and we added them to our Italian Beef Sandwiches we had that evening for supper! They were perfect for just snacking and with adding them to our sandwiches!
The Green Olives with Garlic, had the normal salty taste you expect with a green olive, with just a hint of Garlic which was not at all over powering, just added a nice little extra taste to the normal plain olive. We all need that extra garlic in our diets, as I have been told many times it is good for us! We added them onto our Salads for supper to give them a little something extra!
The Green olives with Chili powder and thyme, were pretty much my favorite of all 3 Snack packs! They were not overpowering either with the added seasonings. The Chili powder I didn’t really get a hot effect from until after I had ate one and then it was just a touch of heat. A little bit of heat goes along way for me, I don’t like foods that bite me back. 🙂
Overall, all 3 of these 100 calorie Snack Packs of Olives from Mario Olives were GREAT! I love that you can just eat them out of the package or add them to your favorite foods to add some more flavors.
