The end of the year can be expensive. That’s for sure. You have gifts to get. You have plans to make. And it can be incredibly tiring to try and stay on top of it all. Finances are hard. Organization is harder. And you know that you just need to make it through and you’ll be okay. So, what will help you to make it through? If you know that you need more money in order to feel comfortable during the holiday season, it can be scary. And stressful. But, you can actually ensure that you get the money you need. You just need to think about ways to get it. If you’re willing to work hard, you can make this happen. So let’s take a look at some of the ways you can get some extra money together before the year is out.
Sell Your Stuff
So first of all, one of the quickest things that you could look to do here, is to sell stuff that you have. Do you have a ton of clothes lying around that you do not wear. Do you have toys and homewares and books that are just collecting dust? Then you need to find apps to sell things so that you can make money from them. And yes, this will take you time to get everything sorted and listed for sale. But the money you make will always be worth it.
Next, you could look to drive as a job too. Maybe you want to go for an Uber or Lyft job so that you can charge for the work you’re doing and just get to work as and when you want. It’s a good way to be able to top up the money you have, as and when you can.
As a step on from that, you might also want to think about writing as a way to earn a bit of money. If you love writing and you are happy to work in your spare time, then freelance writing could be for you. There are a ton of different sites that you could sign up to, so that you’re able to pitch for work and then get paid on your terms too.
If you find that you’ve sold your stuff and you’ve made a ton of money from it, then why not look to buy items that you know you can flip. If there’s profit to be had in items that you see for sale, buy them and sell them to add more to your fund.
Get A Second Job
But then also, on a really simple level here, you might want to think about getting a second job here too. Or, if you’re a stay at home mom, then this could even be something to help you get a little money in before the year is out. There are a ton of seasonal jobs that are often about at this time of year, so you could look to get one. Working weekends or evenings could give you that top-up of cash that you so desperately need at this time of year.
